How we build and maintain ClariMoney's calculators and content.
This page explains how we approach accuracy, independence, and quality across ClariMoney's calculators and blog articles — so you know what's behind the numbers you see.
Every calculator is built on standard, publicly documented financial formulas — the same methods used by banks and financial institutions — rather than approximations or shortcuts.
Before publishing, we test each calculator against real-world worked examples to confirm the output matches expected figures for common scenarios.
Blog articles are written to explain financial concepts clearly, avoiding unnecessary jargon, so they're useful whether you're new to the topic or just double-checking a number.
Content and calculators are revisited periodically to check for outdated information, particularly around tax rules and regulations that change from time to time. Articles show a "Last updated" date where this applies.
ClariMoney is not affiliated with any bank, mutual fund, insurer, or financial institution. We don't accept payment to favor one product, provider, or recommendation over another in our calculators or written content. Where we may in the future display advertising, ads are clearly separate from our editorial content and don't influence what we write or how our calculators work.
We're a small, independently run site, and mistakes can happen despite our review process. If you spot an error — a calculation that looks wrong, an outdated figure, or unclear wording — we want to know.
Reported corrections are reviewed and, where valid, fixed as quickly as possible. For significant corrections, we may note the update in the relevant article.
Despite our process, ClariMoney's calculators and content remain educational tools, not personalized financial advice. See our Disclaimer for the full details on what our content is — and isn't — meant to be used for.
